Still Standing.

Still Healing.

Still Here.

Hi - I’m Tracy.

In October 2022, I survived a head-on collision with a semi-truck — an impact that by all logic, statistics, and medical expectation, I shouldn’t have survived. This site began as a way to keep loved ones updated through emergency surgeries and uncertainty — a lifeline in the middle of crisis.

Over time, it has become something deeper: a living record of long-term healing, advocacy, reflection, and the slow, ongoing work of navigating life after trauma. The journey is imperfect, evolving, and continually reshaped — and this space has grown along with me.

I’m grateful you’re here.

If you’re new here

This space was born out of crisis — a place to share updates when everything was uncertain. As the years have unfolded, it has shifted into a home for my writing, medical updates, creative projects, and the quieter in-between moments that shape long-term recovery and life after trauma.

Here’s a quick guide to help you get oriented:

  • ABOUT: The backstory and who I am beyond the accident.

  • BLOG: Ongoing updates about surgeries, healing, logistics, and life as it happens.

  • LEARNINGS: Reflections and themes that have emerged across the last three years.

  • HOW TO HELP: Current ways people can support my healing and my work.

  • PHOTOS: Visual glimpses of the journey, from the early days to now.

Current season of healing

As of now, I’m living in the long middle of recovery — beyond the initial crisis, but still very much in the work of healing. My days are shaped by ongoing medical care, physical therapy, pain management, and the emotional reality of navigating life after trauma.

Some seasons are quieter and steadier; others bring new procedures, setbacks, or recalibration. I’m learning to live alongside uncertainty while still building a life that feels meaningful, connected, and my own.

For a more detailed breakdown of injuries, surgeries, and what’s ahead, you can always visit my Current State of Healing page, which I update as things change.

As a family friend said upon learning of Tracy’s survival, “she still has work in our universe… a bright beautiful star.”
